Mise is a recipe capture app for professional chefs. We are operated by Techbss Ltd, based in the United Kingdom. You can contact us at hello@miseapp.uk.
We do not sell your data. We do not use your recipes to train AI models.
Your account and recipe data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted by Neon (neon.tech), with servers in AWS eu-west-1 (Ireland). Recipe photographs are stored in Vercel Blob storage. Both providers are GDPR-compliant.
When you use the AI photo capture feature, your photograph is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to extract the recipe text. When you use voice capture, your recording is sent to OpenAI's Whisper API for transcription, after which the transcript is processed by Claude. Neither Anthropic nor OpenAI use submitted data to train their models unless you opt in via their own settings.
Your personal recipes are visible only to you. When you share a recipe to a kitchen, each member of that kitchen receives their own copy — this is permanent and cannot be undone. You control what you share and when.
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To request deletion of your account and all associated data, email us at hello@miseapp.uk. We will action requests within 30 days.
Note: recipes you have already shared to a kitchen exist as independent copies in other users' libraries. Deleting your account removes your originals but cannot remove copies already distributed.
We use a single session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking.
If we make material changes we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
